Oslo and Stockholm: The Nordic Business Ethics Survey Launch @ See website for locales

The debate regarding right and wrong conduct, of what is ethical, of how companies, leaders and employees are expected to behave is a hot topic. Current media enables a transparency that quickly reveal if the actual behaviour and operations are not in line with what is expected.
The Nordic Business Ethics Survey is a pioneering survey by the Nordic Business Ethics Network into employees’ views on ethics across multiple business sectors and job roles. It is the first survey of its kind and asks questions such as:
 What types of unethical behaviors have you experienced or witnessed at work?
 Do you feel comfortable of speaking up of a potential misconduct?
 Does leaders and employees play by the same rules?
The results will be published in  Oslo on 8 April 2019, and Stockholm on 9 April 2019 by Anna Romberg, Niina Ratsula, and Helge Kvamme,  the initiators of Nordic Business Ethics Network (, at an event arranged in cooperation with Institutet mot Mutor,   ICC Norge – The International Chamber of Commerce, Forensic Risk Alliance and Mannheimer Swartling.
I am proud to announce with the Nordic Business Ethics Network, that I will present a key note speech at both the Oslo and Stockholm events, of which the conference sites and registration links can be found here.

This real-life experience offers key learnings and insights into the other side of the FCPA and anti-bribery equation. This session will address the following questions:

  •  Is your compliance program calibrated to the real-world behavioral risk, which front-line personnel face in their work?
  • Does a risk-based compliance program miss real-world risk?

ACi Annual Symposium @ Ropes & Gray

ACi Annual Symposium @ Ropes & Gray

It was wonderful to work with Mark Gough and Jarrod Baker at Deloitte Singapore at an event hosted by the Association of Corporate Investigators , and now ready for the ACi Annual Symposium in London, on November 14th, hosted at Ropes & Gray LLP, where Partner Amanda Raad and I will square off on the crucible of a “Senior Executive Turned Cooperating Witness, and now Compliance Professional.” In our fireside chat, we will focus on the early investigatory interactions of my journey, with significant implications for today’s investigators. And I intend to address my cooperation with UK authorities, including the CPS and HMRC, which are issues I very rarely speak about. The interview will be followed by a robust panel with Basha Galvin and Stephen Storey MA (Hons). The event link can be found here: With special thanks to Kate Winter and the ACI team for all their support! The site link can be found here, and I hope you will join us!
