The London GRC Summit hosted by MetricStream, the independent market leader in enterprise and cloud applications for GRC, is the most influential gathering of governance, risk, compliance, audit, and IT GRC professionals from across the world. Held annually, the summits feature keynotes from global leaders along with discussions, case studies, and deep-dive workshops from domain experts, practitioners, and independent analysts. 2017 saw over 200 attendees leading GRC professionals attending the event. On November 12th, 2018, from 3:25 – 4:15 pm I will engage in an “Expert Talk” titled,” A Journey to the Dark Side of International Business – Real-World Risk and Lessons to Protect your Organization.” The full event site can be found here.
On 29 November 2018 Transparency International Nederland (TI-NL) will be organizing a seminar addressing the topic of whistleblower protection, and in particular the reputation of blowing the whistle. The seminar titled: ‘Blowing the Whistle – Pride, Prejudice & Protection’ will take place from 14:00 to 19:00 o’clock in Kinepolis Utrecht, the Netherlands.
The seminar – moderated by Teun Gautier (founder of PubLeaks) – will focus on questions such as: How can we see whistleblowers as positive forces in our society again? What contributes to the imaging of blowing the whistle? How can we influence this? This is in our view – in addition to strong legislation – the essence of promoting the protection of whistleblowers and the core of the event that TI-NL will organize: searching for the elements that can help to improve the reputation of blowing the whistle.
At 14:45 – 16:00 I will speak at the event in a session titled “Double Act: Whistleblower Wendy Addison VS FCPA-violator & cooperator Richard Bistrong.”
